අළුත්ම සමාජ වෙබ් අඩවිය වන google+ පිළිබදව Google සමාගම නිවේදනය කල පසු Facebook සමාජ වෙබ් අඩවිය ඔවුන් ගේ නවතම සේවාවන් තුලින් තම ග්‍රාහකයන් පිරිස වෙබ් අඩවිය වෙත බැද තබාගැනිමටඋත්සහ දරයි.
පසුගිය 6වන දින facebook සමාගම තම නවතම ගිවිසුම skype සමාගමත් සමග ඇතිකර ගත් පසු ඒ පිළිබදව තොරතුරු මහජනයට හෙලි කලහ. මෙම ගිවිසුම මගින් facebook වෙබ් අඩවිය තුළදි Live Video Chat සේවාව ග්‍රහකයන්ට අත්විදිමට හැකියාව ඇත.මෙය google+ වෙබ් අඩවියට එරෙහිව facebook සමාගම ගත් නවතම පියවරයි.
මෙ තුලින් ලබාදෙන Group Chat සේවාව මගින් ග්‍රාහකයන් කිහිප දෙනෙකුටම එක වර සන්නිවේදනය කිරීමෙ හැකියව "Add Friends to Chat" මගින් සිදුකල හැක. Facebook සමාගමට අනුව සියට 50ක්‌ම ග්‍රාහකයන් Group සේවාවන් බාවිතා කරනුයේ උත්සව සංවිධානය කිරිම වැනි අවස්‌ථා වලදී ය. Facebook සමාගමෙහි ප්‍රධානියා වන සකර්බ්‍ර්ග් පවසන පරිදි facebook වෙබ් අඩවියෙහි මිලියන 750ක පමණ ග්‍රාහක පිරිසක්‌ සිටී.නමුත් skype සමාගමෙහි ග්‍රාහක පිරිස මිලියන 145ක්‌ වන අතර මෙ මස 10වනදා සිට ලබා දෙන මෙම නවතම සේවාව තුළින් skype සමාගමෙහි ග්‍රාහක පිරිස වැඩිකර ගැනිමට ඔවුනට හැකියව ලැබේ.
Video Chat සේවාව ග්‍රාහකයන් ගේ broswer යට කෙලින්ම සම්බන්ධ කරන හෙයින් කිසිදු software වක්‌ download කිරිමට අවශ්‍ය නැත.
After the announcement of Google’s New Social networking site Google Plus, Facebook is trying to keep its users bound with its new services. On 06 August Facebook announced a deal with Skype that will add live video chat to the social networking site and marking the latest step-up in the battle against Google.
The group chat feature will let users chat with multiple friends at once by selecting "Add Friends to Chat." According to Facebook, 50 percent of users are using the Groups feature, for things like coordinating events. Zuckerberg said Facebook has hit a record of 750 million users. The new service, rolling out from 10th August and that could be a huge boost for Skype, which currently has about 145 million regular users. This video chat will be integrated in the browser and there will be no need to download or install any other software.

ලැබි ඇති තොරතුරු අනුව මේ අයුරින් facebook ගිණුම් 500000ක පමණ තොරතුරු අනවසරෙන් ලබා ගෙන ඇත.
A 10 year sentence to jail for violating Facebook
Sanford Wallace, a citizen from US, was charged for sending more than 27 million spam messages to the users of the website Facebook. He surrendered to the FBI in California.
Mr. Wallace carries prison sentences up to 10 years, however, he deny it. At present, he has been released with a bail of $100,000.
The program made by Mr. Wallace posts messages on the users’ walls which encourages the users to visit a website while the details of their accounts are downloaded. The program spreads the message by posting it on the users’ walls too.
It has been found out that, approximately 500,000 accounts were hacked leading mor e than 27 million spam messages.
